Holiday house in the style of a traditional shepherd’s hut, with a great view of the mountains This typical Slovenian shepherd’s hut is on a big mountain meadow (velika planina) and is surrounded by other huts. The 60m² hut provides the comfort of a home away from home. It was built in 1964 and has had renovation work over the last five years. The accommodation is ideal for families and smaller groups. The loft has five mattresses (70 x 200cm) and the lower floor has a bunk bed (120 x 200cm) for two adults or four children. The living room with a kitchen has a wood-burning stove and a big table for ten people. You can cook on a wood-burning stove and on a gas stove. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and WC and has been completely refurbished. There is a washbasin in the entrance area. The accommodation is heated with wood in the living room and with an electric radiator in the bathroom. Internet access (wireless 3G) is available, see supplementary charges for price per day and per GB. In front of the hut there are benches and tables and you can enjoy a wonderful view of the whole mountain chain of the Kamnik-Savinj Alps and the valley plain of Ljubljana. The hut is high in the mountains at 1600 metres above sea level and is best accessed from Kamniška Bistrica, where there is the cable car valley station. You get out at the middle station (restaurant Zeleni Rob) and Chalet Zlatica is five minutes from there.
